Mythical Roots of Anti-Semitism: The Jewish Ritual Murder

This paper concerns the long-lasting persistence of the Jewish ritual murder myth in some provincial areas of Poland. It is based on ethnographic field research carried out in Sandomierz land. The article drafts a structural concept of the myth at issue, referring to Vladimir Propp’s Morphology of the Folktale.
