About Britton Self-Humor

By Ronan Le Coadic
English

Since the 1990s, various media (textiles, postcards, etc.) have been featuring the growing and all-encompassing trend of self-deprecating humor in Brittany. Such humor is characterized by its generalizations on the one hand and motivated by profit on the other. While it claims to be innovative, it in fact essentially taps into an old seam. Its commercial success is due to the global and local context in which it is expressed.
