Biography: In Search of Intimacy

The biographic method enables to combine narrativity, reflexivity and action. Any author of biographic accounts stages events in which he presents himself either as the victim or as the guilty party. This inner struggle gives him access to the real-life world, to intimacy, but interpretation of the account must be limited to that what can be demonstrated, otherwise this leads to the “illusion of the subject” or to the postulate of determinism.
