This article explores how the full-scale invasion of Ukraine and subsequent exile have shaped the politicization of discourses and practices among Ukrainian women displaced to the Lyon metropolitan area of France since 2022. It analyses the evolution of the ordinary relationship to politics of three women, from grassroots and local involvement to formal participation in an association, and situates these trajectories in relation to the modes of action deployed in Ukraine since the start of the Russo-Ukrainian conflict, as well as to the political practices of other displaced communities in France.
